LINCOLN PARK, WASHINGTON DC FAMILY PHOTOS
Having been friends with Stephen and Emily for several years, I was thrilled to join them for a family photo session at Lincoln Park in Washington, D.C. As we began our session, I focused on capturing the three of them in traditional poses, and then moved into more candid moments. Family photos are always so sweet, seeing parents interact with their kid(s), trying to make them laugh, mom hugging baby while dad dances around in hopes of getting a smile. The park’s open spaces and delightful features made it easy to find inviting spots for family poses, whether under the trees, on the large green lawn, or along one of the paved pathways.
Lincoln Park is in the middle of D.C. proper and is quieter than the national mall or similar parks in the area. With various areas to explore, we could play with different angles and compositions, including the quintessential DC row houses surrounding the park on all four sides. It was about more than just the photos; it was about creating an experience that reflected their new season in life as a family of three!
If you’re considering Lincoln Park for your family photos, it’s a fantastic choice that offers not only flexibility in posing but also a visually appealing environment. For more information about the park’s amenities, check out the National Park Service online. Capturing these moments with Stephen and Emily was a joy, and I look forward to many more shared memories!
